To promote and support a system of quality, accessibility, and affordability of early childhood for families in the rural resort region
The Rocky Mountain Early Childhood Council continually seeks funding opportunities to accomplish our strategic plan. Funding initiatives include a focus on health; mental health; quality improvement, availability, and affordability in early care and learning; and family support and education. Currently, child care programs across the region are recipients of funding provided through their local agencies and secured by the RMECC.
Child care programs are recipients of RMECC funding for quality improvement coaching, Environmental Rating Scales, Program Administration Scale and Business Administration Scale assessments and coaching (both center based and family childcare based), Pyramid Model coaching and training, DECA coaching and training, and CLASS assessments and coaching.
In addition to providing evidenced based assessments and coaching models to programs, the RMECC provides funding to child care providers for professional development trainings through local coaches and ECE experts.
We strive to partner with child care providers across the region, and we welcome feedback about how best to support high quality early childhood experiences for children and families. Additionally, we encourage participation in the Rocky Mountain Early Childhood Council through joining the Council and attending monthly regional meetings.
