What We Do...

Children’s Mini College preschool, an auxiliary of Colorado Mountain College, has educated three- to five-year-old children since the preschool opened in 1978. We are a play based program that follows the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood learning “a place where all children are honored and respected for their potential, their capabilities and their humanity.” The program is open 9 months starting in September five days per week. We offer half (8 to 12) and full day (8 to 3:30) classes with an extended day option to 5:15. There is also a summer program for preschoolers.

Our consultant provides support to programs and providers through coaching and mentoring. Our bi-lingual outreach consultant provides translations for families as well as offering translation services for providers. The Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) provides child care assistance to families who are working, searching for employment, or are in training, and families who are enrolled in the Colorado Works program and need child care services to support their efforts toward self-sufficiency. CCCAP provides you access to reduced cost child care at licensed child care facilities or qualified (unlicensed) providers. Cooking Matters in a non-profit organization that offers free online classes (at this time) to parents and caregivers of children. Ascendigo Autism Services is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in the Roaring Fork Valley near Aspen, Colorado. We provide opportunities for growth and independence for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Beginning in 2004 with our summer sports camp (formerly Extreme Sports Camp), Ascendigo has since expanded to offer employment services, in-home behavioral therapy, and life coaching. What We Do...

WIC (Women, Infant, Children) strives to keep pregnant or breastfeeding women, and children under the age of 5 healthy by offering food benefits, breastfeeding support, formula, referrals and nutrition education. Whether you are pregnant, already a mom, or raising a child under the age of 5, you can get personalized support from the WIC program. We also offer: Cooking Matters for Parents classes, which concentrate on teaching healthy, affordable, time saving recipes along with nutrition education. These classes are held virtually . What We Do...

WHEN THE INTERNET, FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE NOT ENOUGH. Pregnant women and new parents are bombarded with advice from social media, web sites, friends and family. Much of what you hear is conflicting. It is hard to figure out what is best for you and your family. We can help. Our agency offers parents support, in the Aspen to Parachute region, an opportunity to choose a program that meets their needs during pregnancy and up until their child is 3 years old. All services are free and you can easily enroll by filling out a request for service. Services can be provided in a location that is convenient for you.
