
Literacy Launch
The Literacy Launch is a new pilot program of the RMECC. Through funding from the Colorado Department of Education and the Buell Foundation, providers who participate in this program implement literacy curriculum and programming to help boost kids’ literacy skills and help them get ready for kindergarten.
NOTE: Kickstart Literacy is an English literacy curriculum and is not available in Spanish.
Kickstart Literacy helps young students learn to read by giving teachers structured, science-based tools and training, aiming for all kids to read proficiently by third grade. This is a required component.

ReadyRosie is a family engagement platform that helps families support young children’s learning at home through short videos and activities that build early literacy, language, and school readiness skills.
Available in English, Spanish, and Arabic.
LENA Grow is a program that uses technology and coaching to help teachers and families increase meaningful talk with young children, supporting language development and early learning.
This program looks at the back-and-forth conversational loops. It works regardless of the language spoken in the classroom.
Active participation in coaching is required of all participants to ensure successful implementation of the components they are participating in.
Interested in joining the next cohort in August 2026?
In order to join the next cohort, you have to:
- Commit to participating and implementing Kickstart Literacy, at a minimum, to fidelity.
- Sign an MOU that lays out what you are agreeing to
- Implement TS Gold and collect data for Language and Literacy and submit that to the Council at designated intervals/checkpoints over at least the next 3 years to help us track the success of this strategy.
