This training is designed to enhance early childhood professionals’ knowledge of free play in the use of the third editions of the Environment Rating Scales. Participants will gain an overall understanding of free play for each age group (infants, toddlers, preschoolers) in early childhood settings, how to set up their environment to allow children to get the most benefits from free play, and how to support their free play. Participants will also leave with action steps toward creating a high-quality early childhood environment that incorporates free play.
